Brass Day

Listen – Learn – Play

IN-PERSON!

We are thrilled to host a safe, in-person Brass Day on May 1, 2021! Students will get to hear a performance by the UNC Charlotte Faculty Brass Quintet, receive expert instruction from our brass faculty, and even have the opportunity to rehearse and perform in-person as part of a mass brass ensemble.

Registration will be limited to 95 participants to comply with state and university gathering limits and will be on a first come, first served basis by instrument. Be sure to register as soon as possible to secure your spot!

Time – Brass Day will begin at 9:00 AM and will end at Noon. The check-in table and student drop-off will begin at 8:30 AM.

Cost – Registration for the event will be $10 per participant

Venue – This year we will use the 8,000 sq foot Hauser Alumni Pavilion on UNC Charlotte’s campus to ensure the safest environment is created and maximize the number of participants. The event will occur RAIN OR SHINE.

Safety Protocol – Student participants will be required to follow university, local, and state safety guidelines at all times during the event. This includes, but is not limited to, wearing a face mask (or performing face mask) at all times, using bell covers when playing, having a cloth or container to empty water, and maintaining a safe distance of 6 feet or more at all times. Failure to follow protocol may lead to students being removed from the event.
